Bollington festival is on the horizon, it all starts this weekend with the parade through Bollington on Saturday at 2.00pm. It's a lovely event so fingers crossed for the sunshine.
Throughout the weekend I am exhibiting my work alongside my Dad at Ingersley Vale. Please come and visit, we will supply tea and coffee and you can distract me from sitting at a laptop writing end of year reports!
In terms of the art work I have the remaining pieces from Yorkshire Sculpture Park collection, I have also done some questionable drawings and painting as well as some framed laser cut things that I am really chuffed with. Hopefully no one else likes them and then I can have them on the walls of my new house.

Bollington Festival 2014
Hello all,
How time flies ... I am now a working as Primary School Teacher in Macclesfield. This is consuming most of my time, energy and thoughts. I have however been given the opportunity to be part of the Bollington Festival Arts Trail 2014.

This should be a lovely opportunity to show my work as part of a central exhibition and within my house (parents house).

In the mean time ill be creating submarines and post vans big enough for my class to play in !

A new term
Hello All,
I have just returned back from an 3 week tour of British Columbia, Canada. So for those who have not had replies to any emails that were sent!
I have now start my PGCE course at Manchester Met uni, and it has already proved to be as much and more work than everyone warned me it would be but im enjoyign it all the same.
Thanks to all those people who have sent me lovely comment abou the work at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Hope it was nice and sunny when you visited the last two time i have been it has been bucketing down so i havent really had much chance to see the outside.
My work Has now been moved into a slightly differnt place within the shop as my work is now feature in as part of the "In the spotlight" exhibition. I am told that I will soon feature on the YSP website which will be fun, however im not sure when that will be!
As always if anyone has any questions feel free to email me (though im manic busy so give me a few days to get back to you !)

New photos
I have been photographing in the small amounts of sun we have had in Bollington and these were my 2 favorite shots, Athough they dont show the full pieces the shaddows are more exciting! They really make me want to do these pieces really big. Enjoy...

Yorkshire Sculpture Park
I have visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park today, It was very wet but I have handed over 10 of my pieces to the shop there and hopefully they are going to fly off the shelves in no time !
For those who didn't see my work at the shows in London and Nottingham if you fancy a look the pieces will be in shop at the main visitors centre there for the next 3 months at least. Over the next few weeks the work will be put up on their website too as part of their new artists showcase.
The photographs on my blog that are labeled with YSP are the ones that are on show there.

Feedback New Designers
Good news.... I have been asked by the Yorkshire Sculpture Park if I would like to put some of my pieces in their shop. This is very exciting and I am going to meet a representative next week so that she can advice me on which pieces to give them to sell.
Hopefully havign some of my work up in the North east will mean that new people will be able to see the pieces.
Once I have handed over a collection for the YSP I will be able to put photographs of the remaining pieces online in order for you to all have a look. I have been snapping away this week in the sun shine to get some nice shots of the pieces.
Other feedback from Londoan was good and a few other galleries have asked to stock my work which is lovely now the only worry is that there may not be enough to go around !

New Designers
Over the last week I have been in London exhibiting my work as part of the New Designers 2011 graduate fair at the International Design Centre, in Islington.
Our stand was made up of about 25 people of my course who were selected by by the university to exhibit. The feedback on our stand was that it was one of the best in the whole exhibition !
I received some really nice comments from the visitors and have been approached by a few galleries and exhibition currators as they are interested in using my work which is very exciting.
I'm off to Nottingham to pick up the rest of my work on Monday so if anyone in Nottingham is around and wants to come and see the new pieces I have made, drop me an email and we can arrange to meet up
